WCI’s mission is to do our part to revitalize the urban sector of Detroit through strategic real estate investments, incremental development, fostering sustainable growth, and empowering our community with educational principles about home ownership.

We strive to create a positive social impact by teaching foundational principles of entrepreneurship and financial literacy to the upcoming generation. As we scale our operations, we are committed to revitalizing neighborhoods, fostering economic opportunities, and creating thriving communities in Detroit.

Meet Michael, a dedicated entrepreneur with a passion for urban real estate development. In 2012, he established his company, Wright Choice Investments (WCI), alongside his full-time corporate position at a Fortune 500 company. He has spent over a decade in his corporate career in various roles such as Industrial Engineering, Lead Supervisor, and Project Planning, Michael nurtured his real estate venture during his evenings and weekends.
In August 2022, Michael made the bold decision to leave his corporate job behind and focus entirely on what truly mattered to him: family, real estate, and community support. WCI specializes in acquiring distressed properties in Detroit, rehabilitating them, and providing affordable housing to low-income families with Section 8 vouchers. Since its inception, WCI has actively participated in over 100 real estate deals and currently manages a seven-figure portfolio.
With over a decade of executive experience in single-family, multi-family, residential property management, and development, WCI brings unparalleled expertise to the industry. Our motto, “we love to bring houses back to life and provide an upscale living on a budget,” reflects our genuine dedication to revitalizing Detroit’s community.
Michael, a seasoned professional in both real estate and corporate sectors, possesses a visionary mindset, exceptional project management skills, and a talent for leading diverse teams to achieve remarkable results. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Michael has had the privilege of living in five different states and exploring the world. However, he chose to return to Michigan because of the remarkable real estate opportunities and the desire to raise his children in the vibrant city of Detroit. Michael’s extensive travels have reinforced the realization that shelter is a fundamental necessity for everyone. At WCI, we take great pride in providing a high-quality lifestyle at an affordable cost for our tenants.
